My Approach

My approach to working with people starts with the traditional pillars of healing: connection to people and the natural world and finding resources that soothe and regulate the body while also keeping our power. I incorporate nature, ritual, art practices, and movement in my work. This can be fast work for some and for others it can take more time. Both are completely normal and healthy. My values include: dignity and worth of all people, importance of human relationships, social justice, service, and integrity. My focus has been on supporting people who are looking to make significant changes in their lives around anger, depression, low self-worth, grief, addiction, and understanding fight, flee, and freeze responses and when they are and are not needed.

Somatic Experiencing®

A tender, sweet and caring approach to working with people to process overwhelming or traumatic experiences in the body. It is based on connection, rhythm, and creating space within the nervous system to hold both protective and welcoming behaviors. SE does not work to eliminate fight, flight, and freeze behaviors instead it helps to be discerning with our feelings.

Dynamic Emotional Integration®

Reclaim emotional wisdom. Each of our emotions carries a specific wisdom. They are the meaning and motivation behind all we do. They help us do many things, including defining our boundaries through our values, maintaining meaningful relationships and access to resources, and letting go of things we’ve lost or that no longer serve us.

 Personalized, intentional, and caring approach.

Dynamic EmotionalIntegration® and somatic practices works with both fast change and slow change.

How it works

Currently I offer both Dynamic Emotional Integration® and Somatic Experiencing® sessions online via the Zoom platform. I offer a sliding scale fee for one hour sessions, based on financial security. When you click to schedule an appointment you will see the different levels of payments that are available and a description of each to help you know which category to choose: financially insecure, financially secure, somewhat financially secure.
